The question I'm always asked - and my clear answer!

This week, we had the joy of hosting our third annual Backyard BBQ in our courtyard for clients, partners and friends. It was an absolute blast and definitely one of the highlights of the year! 🤩

This year, we welcomed close to 65 people, setting a new attendance record, but that's hardly surprising since there are now two companies joining forces to extend the invites. As per tradition—because it has indeed become a tradition—we served up smashed burgers, with yours truly manning the grill. Over 100 burgers were grilled this time around. It's hot, sweaty, and greasy, and every year without fail, at least one person asks me, "Should YOU really be the one grilling?!"

You couldn't drag me away if you tried — I love it! I am exactly where I'm meant to be, and there are several reasons for this.

Firstly, my professional life began as a chef in a combined butcher shop/restaurant where we hosted BBQ nights during the summers for 100-150 guests at a time. I've grilled more meat than most.

Secondly, food is my love language (read the book 5 Love Languages if you're curious about that concept). The best way I know how to show appreciation, which is the purpose of the evening, is by preparing and serving great food! The best of me in one bite to you. ❤️

Thirdly, "We serve our clients every day. Today we just serve them food."

And fourthly, you've probably heard how important it is to stand out from your competitors. Are great parties and delicious food a competitive edge? You're damn right they are!

Have a wonderful summer! ☀️
